Juventus provided injury updates on Vlahovic and Perin on Tuesday.
Official Juventus injury updates: Vlahovic and Perin Both players had sustained injuries during a 2-0 win over Genoa on Monday.
Perin was replaced at halftime, while Vlahovic was not even involved as he sustained an injury during the warm-up in the second half, while preparing to come on as a substitute.
“During the warm up carried out in the second half of the match against Genoa, Dusan Vlahovic suffered an issue with his left calf,” Juventus said in a statement.
“As a result, he underwent diagnostic tests this morning at the J Medical , which revealed a low-grade lesion of the soleus muscle.”
Vlahovic had just returned to action after being sidelined for four months. The Serbia international underwent surgery due to an adductor injury in December and only made one substitute appearance since his return, playing for barely ten minutes.
According to Sky Sport Italia , this latest injury setback will force Vlahovic out of action for 20 to 30 days.
“Mattia Perin, who was substituted at half-time in yesterday’s match due discomfort in his right calf, also underwent tests that did not show any lesion,” Juventus continued.

What happened
Juventus issued an official medical update after the 2-0 win over Genoa. Vlahovic picked up a left calf problem during the second-half warm-up, and tests revealed a low-grade lesion of the soleus muscle. Perin, who came off at half-time with right calf discomfort, did not suffer any lesion and will be monitored day by day. The update is a setback for Vlahovic, who had only recently returned from a long absence following December surgery.
Chance analysis
This matters mainly because Vlahovic is a central attacking reference for Juventus and his renewed absence weakens their striker depth and finishing options. Perin avoiding structural injury limits the damage, but the headline football impact is clearly negative because Juventus lose an important forward just after his return.
Vlahovic's likely multi-week absence hurts Juventus in attack, while Perin's clean scan softens the overall blow.
Treat this as a meaningful negative attacking availability signal for Juventus, with stronger relevance to squad depth and goal expectation than to goalkeeping stability.
