Manu Kone returned for his first start since March 19, with Paulo Dybala only fit for the bench, missing suspended Neil El Aynaoui , injured Lorenzo Pellegrini, Artem Dovbyk and Evan Ferguson.
The Viola were without Moise Kean, Roberto Piccoli, Niccolò Fortini and Tariq Lamptey, though Robin Gosens and Fabiano Parisi returned. As Cremonese lost in the early kick-off, the Tuscans were practically safe from relegation.

Donyell Malen took on a crowd of defenders and his shot was deflected off Luca Ranieri to loop up onto the top of the crossbar. Roma scored from the resulting Niccolò Pisilli corner, which found Gianluca Mancini unmarked for the glancing header from six yards.
The second goal came soon after, as Pisilli went on the counter, it was spread from right to left via Matias Soulé and Mario Hermoso until Wesley swept in first-time with the inside of the right boot from just inside the area.

Malen tested David De Gea at the near post, but the Viola started to wake up towards half-time, as the Fagioli volley was deflected over for a corner.
Fiorentina made a triple change at half-time, including youth team striker Riccardo Braschi, who within 60 seconds had fired his shot onto the base of the upright.

What happened
Roma produced a dominant 4-0 home win over Fiorentina in Serie A, with goals from Gianluca Mancini, Wesley, Mario Hermoso and Niccolo Pisilli. The result leaves Roma just one point behind fourth-placed Juventus, significantly intensifying the race for Champions League qualification. Fiorentina, missing several players including Moise Kean, offered little resistance for long periods and managed only one shot on target. Despite the defeat, other results mean the Viola are still effectively safe from relegation.
Chance analysis
This matters because Roma turned a crowded top-four race back into a live contest with an emphatic, control-heavy performance. The margin, shot dominance and spread of contributors suggest real momentum for Roma, while Fiorentina's depleted attack and passive display are negative signals for short-term competitiveness.
Roma gain momentum and table pressure in the Champions League race, while Fiorentina take a clear performance hit despite the limited relegation danger.
Upgrade Roma's near-term outlook in top-four and match markets, while downgrading Fiorentina where attacking output and resistance are key assumptions.
