A 3-2 victory over fellow Serie A newcomers Venezia and a 1-1 draw away against Genoa followed.
Their most recent result was perhaps their most impressive, claiming a 2-0 victory over Champions League outfit Como just before the international break.
Alvini has also earned praise across Italy for his use of young Italian players at the start of the 2026-27 Serie A season. Five of the players included in the Frosinone squad for their 2-0 win over Como have been called up to Silvio Baldini’s Italy U21 side, including Antonio Raimondo, who was awarded the Serie A rising star of the month award for August and September.
These results see Alvini honoured with his first ever Serie A coach of the month award. He will be awarded with the trophy ahead of Frosinone’s next home match, which will be against Sassuolo on Friday, October 16.

That was also the case for the Serie A player of the month award, which was claimed by Roma’s Donyell Malen on Thursday.

Chance analysis
Alvini's coach-of-the-month honour is both a personal milestone and a signal that Frosinone's early results are no fluke. A promoted or smaller club taking a monthly award this early in the season typically reflects a well-drilled system and sharp recruitment rather than a lucky run. For Frosinone, it raises expectations and could attract further attention from bigger clubs if results continue.
