Aston Villa sign Suzuki from Parma for €35m

Aston Villa have officially announced their signing of Japan international goalkeeper Zion Suzuki on a permanent transfer from Serie A side Parma, following the breakdown in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain.

Official: Suzuki joins Aston Villa from Parma Villa have agreed to pay a total package of €35m for the 23-year-old shot stopper and according to reports in Italy, he has signed a five-year contract that will see him through until the summer of 2031.

Suzuki has spent the last two seasons in Serie A and has made 57 appearances in the Italian top flight with Parma over that period. He has previously had stints in Belgium with Sint-Triuden and in Japan with Urawa Red Diamonds.
