Bologna target Lucca for 2026-27 Bologna have resumed their interest in Italian striker Lucca, according to Gazzetta.
The Rossoblu already targeted the ex-Udinese striker four years ago, and during the January transfer window.
Back in 2022, Lucca joined Ajax from Pisa despite an offer from the Stadio Dall’Ara, while last January, Forest made the most convincing offer to bring him on loan from Napoli.
According to Gazzetta, Bologna will be listening to offers for Thijs Dallinga next summer, and Lucca is one of the Dutchman’s possible replacements.

What happened
Lorenzo Lucca, a Napoli-owned striker currently on loan at Nottingham Forest, is expected to return to the Stadio Maradona after his six-month spell. Bologna have now resumed their interest in the Italian forward, marking their third attempt to sign him after unsuccessful approaches in 2022 and during the January 2026 transfer window. The Rossoblu previously lost out when Lucca chose to join Ajax from Pisa in 2022, and again when Nottingham Forest made a more convincing offer to loan him from Napoli in January. Bologna are now positioning themselves as a potential destination for the striker for the 2026-27 season.
Chance analysis
This represents a recurring transfer interest that reflects Bologna's persistent striker shortage and their confidence in recruiting Lucca. The loan spell at Nottingham Forest appears unsuccessful, creating an opportunity for Bologna to finally secure the player after two previous failed attempts. Given Lucca's limited impact at Forest and previous offers, Bologna may now have a stronger negotiating position with Napoli to either purchase or loan the striker.
Bologna gain a credible striker target with previous interest history, while Napoli may look to resolve Lucca's immediate future following his underwhelming loan spell at Forest.
Lucca's unsuccessful Forest loan and Bologna's third pursuit attempt suggest potential availability for a move to Serie A, relevant for Bologna's attacking depth in 2026-27 planning.
