Meanwhile, his club teammate Isaksen could follow suit, with reports from LaLazioSiamoNoi that the Denmark international will require surgery to resolve a long-standing groin inflammation.
This would be the fourth different Biancocelesti player to require an operation for the same condition after conservative treatment failed to heal the problem.
The long process already struck Mattia Zaccagni , Niccolò Rovella and Danilo Cataldi over the last 12 months.

What happened
Lazio are dealing with a worsening injury crisis ahead of upcoming fixtures. Wing-back Gustav Isaksen and young player Simone Furlanetto are both scheduled for surgery, which will keep them sidelined for an extended period. The double blow compounds Lazio's existing fitness concerns and leaves the coaching staff with limited options in key areas of the pitch. The club will need to rely on squad depth as they navigate a demanding schedule in Serie A.
Chance analysis
Losing two players to surgery simultaneously is a significant blow to Lazio's depth, particularly if Isaksen is a regular in the attacking/wing-back role. The timing compounds pressure on the head coach to adjust tactics or promote youth players, which could directly affect match outcomes in the short term. For prediction systems, Lazio's expected output and defensive/wing coverage should be adjusted downward until both players return.
Lazio's squad depth and tactical flexibility are significantly reduced, with two players facing surgery and extended absences.
Adjust Lazio's attacking and wing-back performance expectations downward for upcoming matches; consider squad depth and potential tactical reshuffles.
