What happened

Sunderland claimed a point on the road at Brentford in a Premier League fixture, thanks to a goal from Le Fée who atoned after an earlier setback. The result extends Sunderland's unbeaten run and gives them a valuable away point, while Brentford will feel frustrated not to have converted at home.

Chance analysis

Away points are gold in the Premier League, and Le Fée's goal gave Sunderland a hard-earned result on the road at Brentford. For a newly promoted side still establishing itself in the division, digging out a draw at a mid-table opponent underlines growing resilience. Brentford, meanwhile, will look back on missed chances at home as a chance to climb the table slips away.

Impact

A point gained for Sunderland away from home; a point dropped for Brentford at home, with minor morale and table-position implications for both sides.
