What happened
AC Milan have confirmed Sergio Navarro as the new head coach of Milan Futuro, their Primavera/reserve development team, ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. The appointment fills a key role within Milan's youth development structure, which feeds talent into the first team. Navarro takes charge of a project designed to develop young players for eventual promotion to the senior squad.
Chance analysis
This is a structural appointment within AC Milan's youth development pipeline rather than a first-team move, so its impact on senior team performance is indirect. However, the choice of head coach for Milan Futuro matters for long-term squad planning, as the reserve side is a key pathway for young Italian and academy talents. The appointment is unlikely to affect immediate first-team tactical decisions or match predictions.
Milan Futuro gains a new head coach for next season, with indirect long-term implications for youth development and future first-team pipeline.
