Roma announce Champions League squad list for 2026-27

Roma have officially confirmed their Champions League squad list for the 2026-27 season, including all six of Gian Piero Gasperini’s new summer signings.

All clubs competing in UEFA competitions in 2026-27 submitted their squads for the league phase campaign by the end of Wednesday, September 2, the day after the close of the summer transfer window for the majority of European nations.

(Photo by Lars Baron/Getty Images) Teams are permitted to name a maximum of 25 players on their ‘List A’. Of those 25 players, at least two must be goalkeepers and eight must be ‘locally trained players’ ie. those who were based in Italy for at least three uninterrupted years between the ages of 15 and 21.

Teams are also able to name an unlimited number of players on their ‘List B’, typically reserved for youth-team players. Any player can be named on List B as long as they were born on or after January 1, 2005, and as long as they have played for the club for an uninterrupted period of at least two years.

Roma have not filled out the maximum squad size of 25, even though they have named the required eight locally trained players. They are: Pierluigi Gollini, Giorgio De Marzi, Gianluca Mancini, Emanuele Lulli, Daniele Ghilardi, Bryan Cristante, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Niccolo Pisilli.

(Photo by Paolo Bruno/Getty Images) All of Gasperini’s seven summer signings have also been included on the club’s List A, namely Santiago Castro, Rodrigo Mora, Konstantinos Koulierakis, Nahuel Molina, Leonardo Balerdi and Marten De Roon.

Official: Rodrigo Mora joins Roma on a permanent transfer from FC Porto (via www.asroma.com) Youngsters Emanuele Lulli and Antonio Arena have also been included on Roma’s List A.

The Giallorossi have not confirmed the names that have been included on their List B.
