Of those 25 players, at least two must be goalkeepers and eight must be ‘locally trained players’ ie. those who were based in Italy for at least three uninterrupted years between the ages of 15 and 21.
Teams are also able to name an unlimited number of players on their ‘List B’, typically reserved for youth-team players. Any player can be named on List B as long as they were born on or after January 1, 2005, and as long as they have played for the club for an uninterrupted period of at least two years.
Roma have not filled out the maximum squad size of 25, even though they have named the required eight locally trained players. They are: Pierluigi Gollini, Giorgio De Marzi, Gianluca Mancini, Emanuele Lulli, Daniele Ghilardi, Bryan Cristante, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Niccolo Pisilli.
