(Photo by Maurizio Lagana/Getty Images) The game has a family subplot. Venezia goalkeeper Filip Stanković came through the Inter academy, and the Nerazzurri kept a 50% sell-on clause when they sold him in 2024. His younger brother Aleksandar is in the Inter squad, and their father Dejan won the Treble at the club.
Lautaro Martínez (hamstring) and Luis Henrique (adductor) are both out until after the international break. Benjamin Pavard (adductor), Curtis Jones (adductor) and John Stones (hamstring) are also missing. Pavard and Jones are hoping to be fit for next Tuesday’s Champions League game.
Venezia are without Thierry Correia (hamstring), Marin Šverko (hip), Andrea Adorante (back surgery) and Bartol Franjić (shoulder surgery).
Neither side has any players suspended.
