A deal is also done with Leeds United for Perri, but it’s reported the goalkeeper won’t be allowed to leave for his medical until the replacement is signed.
Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Torino are in advanced negotiations with Ajax for midfielder Fitz-Jim.
He just turned 23 earlier this month and his contract with the Dutch giants expires at the end of the season, making him an appetising prospect on the market.
Fitz-Jim is a product of the Ajax academy and made 22 competitive appearances last term, contributing one goal.
Torino also have an agreement in place with Fiorentina for defender Pietro Comuzzo , on loan for €1m with an option to buy for a further €19m.

What happened
Torino are making moves in the January transfer window. The club has welcomed defender Saidy Janko from Como as a new signing and is in active negotiations with Ajax for highly-rated Dutch youth midfielder Kian Fitz-Jim. Additionally, Torino are waiting to finalize the arrival of goalkeeper Luca Perri, whose move is reportedly close to completion. These three operations reflect Torino's busy window as they look to reinforce multiple areas of the squad.
Chance analysis
Torino's transfer activity addresses multiple squad needs. The Comert (corrected to Janko) signing adds defensive depth, the pursuit of Fitz-Jim suggests investment in young attacking midfield talent, and the pending Perri arrival addresses goalkeeping depth. For a mid-table Serie A side, this represents meaningful but not transformative squad building. The Ajax link for Fitz-Jim could indicate continued scouting of the Eredivisie market, which has proven fruitful for Italian clubs in recent years.
Torino's squad depth improves in defense and potentially midfield and goalkealkeeping, with marginal impact on their Serie A standing this season.
Monitor Torino's confirmed signings for availability in upcoming Serie A fixtures; midfield depth addition via Fitz-Jim could shift tactical options.
